Wow! Was I ever thrilled to happen upon your Pinterest account! It’s a treasure trove! I’m new to quilting and exploring the bodies of work of professional quilters is a joy. Thanks for sharing so much of your inspiration and work through Pinterest. The visual immediacy of the platform is a natural fit for artists of many mediums. If you find you are short on time to blog, please write a post directing people who don’t already follow you on Pinterest to have a look. Your boards are spectacular and I will be following them.
All the best, Emma in Canada
Thank you for writing, I appreciate your suggestions. Do keep your eye on Pinterest and the new blog scheduled for release on Mothers Day. Joanie

I love Doodle Bird 1 and 2 and look forward to a book about the process and patterns. Difficult to figure out if it is applique, paint, thread work. Love it, love it. I am going through all your site has to offer and I am sure I can find something to get me going.
Wishing you continued success and prosperity.
Hi Karen, Thanks you for your note. Both Doodle Bird 1 and 2 are surface painted and the artwork of Pam Levenhagen.Thank you so much for your kind words. Keep your eye out for the blog starting on Mother’s Day. Joanie
